16,420 Manikganj farmers get incentive

MANIKGANJ, Oct 31 (BSS): The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) is distributing seeds and fertilisers as special incentives among 16,420 small and marginal farmers in seven upazilas of the district for cultivating maize, mustard, groundnut, sesame seed and courtyard brinjal.

DAE sources said each of the famers will get seeds for one bigha of land as incentive. The farmers will also get necessary fertilizers in cultivating those crops during the 2018-2019 Rabi and Kharip-1 seasons.
