5,000 hectares of land come under potato cultivation

PANCHAGARH, Dec 18 (BSS): Around 5,000 hectares of land have been brought under potato cultivation in the current Rabi season in the district.

The farmers are passing their busy time nurturing their potato field. Farmers started harvesting the early variety of potato and selling in the market.

Farmers are getting fair prices for their produce. Every 80-kg potato bag is being sold at Tk 1800 to Tk 2000 in local markets.

Traders come here from different districts and purchase potato and send to Dhaka and other districts.
