700 families come under power network

DINAJPUR, Jun 03 (BSS): A total of 232 houses of Paltapur and Nijpara unions under Birganj upazila of the district have been brought under rural electrification network by Dinajpur Palli Bidyut Samity (DPBS-1) on Sunday.

Manoranjon Shill Gopal MP formally inaugurated the electrification programme at a simple function held on the premises of Paltapur union parishad as the chief guest.

DPBS brought an area of 22 miles under rural electrification network spending about Tk 5.4 million.

In Manikganj, a total of 80 houses of four villages in Manikganj Sadar upazila have been brought under rural electrification network by Manikganj Palli Bidyut Samity.

The villages are Sokai, Bengrui, Baliabil and Charghosta.

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque inaugurated the electricity supply programme at a function at Charbaroil village on Sunday.

President of Navagram Union Awami League Md Belatet Hossain presided over the function.

A total of 1.43 km areas of the villages were brought under rural electrification network spending about Tk 2.3 million.

In Nilphamari, a total of 388 families of Sadar upazila have been brought under rural electrification network by Pally Biddut Samity (PBS).

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, as the chief guest inaugurated the electrification programme at a function held on Notibari High School's premise under Chowra Borogacha union of the district on Sunday, an official handout said.

Nilphamari AL Union president Robiul Islam presided over the function.
