College girl commits suicide in Jashore

JASHORE, Apr 29 (UNB): A college girl committed suicide following a family feud at Maguradanga village of Keshabpur upazila in the district on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Shumi Dutta, 20, daughter of Jagadish Dutta of the village. She was an honours student of Khulna Pioneer Women College.

Mrinal Kanti Das, a local Union Parishad member, said Shumi hanged herself from the ceiling in her own room in the morning following a feud with her parents.

Though she was rushed to Keshabpur upazila health complex, the duty doctor declared her dead.

An unnatural death case was filed with the Keshabpur Police Station.
