SIRAJGANJ, July 02 (UNB): Hundreds of houses of seven villages and crops of around three hundred hectares of land under Chouhali upazila in the district were inundated in floodwater.

Hundreds of families of these areas, living near the bank of the Jamuna, were found being surrounded by the waterlogging.

People were spotted living under the open sky, causing immense suffering to the people.

Many families shifted their houses from their previous residence in those villages including Brahmangram and Arkandi village.

Not only were the houses and roads of the villages destroyed, over three hectares of cropland along 6.0 km of the upazila were ruined in the monsoon flooding.

In the space of only two months this is the second flood to occur in the region under the Enayetpur Police Station, triggering panic of being eroded down the water body to the inmates.
