Honey collection starts in Sundarbans

SATKHIRA, Apr 02 (UNB): The season to collect honey from the Sundarbans began on Monday.

It was inaugurated from Burigoalini Forest Station in Shyamnagar upazila in the morning. The collection will continue until June 15.

This year, the government aims to collect 3,000 maunds of honey and 1,000 maunds of wax from the Satkhira range.

Honey and wood collectors have already got their permissions from the local forest department.
