Police recover floating body of college student

KHULNA, Jan 18 (BSS): Police on Thursday recovered a floating body of a college student from Bhairab River at Fulbarigate area of the city.

The deceased was identified as Mithun Kumar Das, 23, a final year honour's student of Government BL College.

Mithun, a son of late Shashanka Das, hailed from Chulkathi village under Sadar upazila of Bagerhat, was sent to the morgue of Khulna Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

Mithun went missing in Bhairab River on January 12 last when he fell down into the river's water, assistant inspector of police Razib Kumar Das told the news agency.

Earlier, he was gossiping with his friends sitting at the pontoon of a ferry on the Bhairab River adjacent to city's Phulbarigate area.
