SME fair ends in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Jan 23 (BSS): A seven-day Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) fair organised by District Administration and SME Foundation ended on the Shilpakala Academy premises here on Monday evening.

A concluding function was arranged where Senior Secretary of Internal Resources Division and Chairman of the National Revenue Board Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan addressed as the chief guest.

Deputy Commissioner Dr Shubash Chandra Biswas presided over the function, while Managing Director of SME Foundation Shafiqul Islam, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Mohammad Baitul Amin Bhuiyan, Chairman of Narsingdi Sadar Monzur Elahi addressed as the special guests.

Stressing the need for increasing investment in SME sector, the chief guest said successful promotion of the sector could be the effective means of alleviating poverty in the country and generating employment opportunity to accelerate economic growth.
