RAJSHAHI, Apr 16: Upazila Land Office, Tanore, has set an example by providing a smooth service to the locals.
A radical change has been made in providing land related services after joining new assistance commissioner (AC), Land, Md Abdullah Al Mamun.
Name list, designation and phone number of all the officials along with their respective affairs has been unveiled in the wall of the office to ensure a good service among the common people, found while visiting this correspondent.
For having the knowledge of the satisfaction level of the clients two comment boxes: Smile Box and Complain Box have been set up on the office premises so that the office can improve their service.
Everyday, a good number of people from different villages under this upazila come to the office premises for their land related affairs and achieve standard service without any hassle. The office work is also being run as broker free for taking some precautionary steps by AC (Land).
"I came to the office a few days ago and got a noticeable service," said Manirul Islam of Saidhara village. "I gave special thanks to the officer from my heart as he did the work timely", he added.
Another beneficiary in Kaliganj area of the municipality said he got a standard service whenever he came to the office for mutation of his land.
Locals said Mr Mamun took the office on October 17, 2017 and has been trying to ensure hassle and corruption-free services.
Waiting room namely Chhayabithy has been built here in the office premise for taking rest to the clients. A flower orchard also set up for adding beauty to the nice working environment. To ensure timely attendance of the staff digital attendance machine has been set up. The entire Land Office is under the surveillance with CC camera. There is also a motorcycle shed.
Md Abdullah Al Mamun said, "We are trying our level best to ensure the standard citizen service at any cost. We notice on the betterment of the common people of the area."
