A praiseworthy step to prevent question leak

March 29, 2018 00:00:00

I THINK the education department has taken a prudent decision to release question papers just 25 minutes before the exam. This will possibly help remove all uncertainties over question paper leaks and the students will be totally focused on their studies instead of frantically looking for question papers all over the place. Whether the decision is going to be effective is another matter, because a lot depends on the ways to implement the same. Rampant question paper leaks are seriously hurting our education system and leaving negative impacts on our standard of education. More importantly, such leaks lead to demoralising and frustrating the good students. It is sad to see that many parents help their children obtain leaked question papers as they forget that "good results" from leaked question papers would ultimately bring no benefit to their children. We are living in an age of razor edge competition and the students must remember that unless they work hard they cannot have real education. Mere certificates will not be of any use for them in later life. Rather than trying to secure high marks thanks to leaked question papers, it is imperative that they concentrate hard on their studies and acquire knowledge so that they can earn good marks in exams on one hand and do better in later life on the other.
