Dangers of over-the-counter medicine

March 28, 2019 00:00:00

People often walk into the pharmacies of the country and buy medicines without producing a prescription to the salespeople. Most of the time, they buy medicines, including antibiotics, without consulting a doctor. This is very dangerous.

There is a tendency to take tablets as soon as someone feels a headache or any kind of pain. In most cases, doctors ask patients to observe the symptoms for a day or two before taking medicines. In some cases, the affliction goes away as the human body is able to fend off many diseases on its own. There are other alternatives as well. For example, in case of a headache, we can take coffee or lemon tea or other home remedies. These do not have side-effects.

People in the country need to be more careful. They should not have medicines especially antibiotics without consulting a physician.
