Dust pollution is harmful for human health

Dust is a serious problem in Dhaka. Construction, road digging, smoking and other sources are main causes behind dust pollution in the city.

Such pollution is extremely bad for pregnant women, children and the elderly, as many researches done by medical professionals in the developed countries have revealed. The real estate companies, in particular, should cover their construction sites with thick materials so that the dust does not spread outside and pollute the surrounding environment. Similar steps can be taken by different state-owned utility companies that dig and repair the roads.

I hope the concerned authorities will take necessary steps so that pollution from such sources can be checked.
