Exorbitant prices of BPL tickets

I am a big fan of cricket and all its formats. Bangladesh Premier League is very dear to me. Almost every season, I try to buy tickets to some BPL matches and watch them from the galleries. I love to watch the performance of local and foreign cricketers under the Twenty-20 format. I also cherish the passion of fellow cricket-lovers at the galleries.

But I have noticed this year that prices of BPL tickets are quite high. If this is the case then the revenue from ticket sales will fall. Why would people buy tickets at high prices when they can watch the match for free on television?

I think this is the reason behind smaller crowds at this year's BPL. This is hampering the beauty of the game. A vibrant crowd is considered to be the soul of any sports event.

The BPL authority should consider this aspect and reduce the prices of tickets. Already the authority has adjusted the time so that more people can come to watch live cricket in the stadiums. I believe the BPL authority will be sincere and they will keep no stones unturned to make BPL successful this year.
