Laptops at Tk 25,000

Yesterday, while reading the newspaper I came across the title of an article which mentioned that there are laptops being sold at prices as low as Tk 25,000 in Bangladesh now. I was intrigued. I began to read the article and found that there are at least seven such laptops from different brands which are being sold in the market at under Tk 25,000.

This is a great development. When I was studying in university around 10 years back, in between classes I often needed to quickly type up an assignment and get it printed. As my university was quite far from my house, I could not go home always to use the personal computer. So I had to go to a nearby cybercafé and get the assignments printed from there. I always wanted to buy a laptop. But they were extremely pricey then. I did not want to pressure my parents for it either.

After reading this article, I am feeling very happy for the students of this generation. If they can save up some money or do a part-time job, they can easily purchase one of these laptops. Moreover, most of these brands offer warranty and after-sales service.

I would like to thank the government for making the arrangements that made these laptops so affordable.
