Nuclear waste disposal of our plant

NOW that the government seems to be ready for the Russian Nuclear Power Plant, the very critical and risky matter of regular waste disposal from this proposed power plant seems to have been accepted by the Atomic Energy Commission and all other concerned authorities as a routine issue. In the public interest, the matter should be published in the newspapers to make people aware of the issues related to radiation from the plant.
In reality it will be far more important for the government to abandon the potentially dangerous plant in terms of radiation leakage. It was unwise of the government to set up the 2400MW Nuclear Power Plant at a staggering cost of nearly US $11.385 billion. We should rather go for a radiation-safe U236 nuclear power plant. This scribe is not sure if the cost shown above also includes the cost of having Russian personnel operating it as well as cost of sending our personnel for training in Russia. The required time length of Russian personnel running the plant in Bangladesh can be anybody's guess, but it could well be around five years if not more. We should not forget that operating a nuclear reactor is vastly different from operating a conventional thermal plant. It would be like piloting a large jet airliner compared to flying a Tiger Moth single engine light aircraft.
