Shameful attack on quota reformists

Most people of the country were shocked to witness the naked physical assault, verbal abuse and torture of students of Dhaka University by the anti-quota reformist elements and cops. It is really shameful that when the students were staging a demonstration for quota reform during the past, activists allegedly from the student front of the ruling party, swooped on them. While some protestors managed to flee during the onslaught, few female protestors were seen crying helplessly. Male protestors were roughed up inhumanly. We know from history that force cannot bring about a solution. Rather such acts aggravate any situation. The attack on quote reformists occurred in other public universities of Bangladesh as well. Some attackers severely injured a protestor in Rajshahi after they chased and attacked him with hammers. Many injured students have already been admitted to the hospital. The common people want the government to quickly implement the Prime Minister's announcement regarding the quotas. It is high time for the government to stop the attack on the quota reformist students and resolve the matter amicably.
