Stopping buses at non-designated stops

April 11, 2018 00:00:00

IT looks like that buses have no designated stops to pick up and drop passengers and the drivers of buses enjoy unlimited freedom in this respect. This is a gross violation of traffic rules and must be stopped immediately. When a bus is stopped abruptly in the middle of a road it creates traffic congestion on the one hand and raises sufferings of commuters on the other. We can improve flow of traffic if such haphazard stopping of buses are avoided. The concerned agencies of the government should intervene to facilitate traffic movement on our roads. It is unfortunate that lot of working hours are wasted due to severe traffic gridlocks and stoppages of public transports of this nature add further miseries and inconveniences. With more people coming to towns from villages the situation is getting from bad to worse. It is therefore imperative that traffic rules are strictly enforced to restore some kind of discipline in our traffic system. As a conscious citizen, we must comply with regulatory instructions when we go out on the roads.
