Subir Nandi, the golden voice becomes mute

Noted singer Subir Nandi left this mortal world on Tuesday. He was taken to Singapore for better treatment. He was 66 years old. His death has created a void in our music industry.

Subir Nandi sang many popular songs. Born in Habigang in 1953, he started his musical career in 1972. He sang more than 2,500 songs in his long career. He was awarded Ekushey Padak this year.

He sang on radio, TV and for Bangladeshi movies. I often listen to his songs "Din jay kotha thake", "Amar ei duti chokh pathor to noi" or "Koto je tomake basechi valo" and many more.

Subir Nandi is a legend. He is not with us any more, but his songs will be with us.
