Take care of your kidneys

Every year, the world observes Kidney Day to create awareness among the people about importance of keeping the kidney safe and healthy. Physicians say, if we are aware of risks of kidney diseases, we can prevent 60 per cent of the kidney-related problems. Prevention is always better than cure and the same is applicable for staying away from kidney-related complications. Many people around us are suffering from kidney diseases and living their life through hemodialysis. It is very hard for the patients and their family members emotionally, financially and physically to undergo such process.
So, everyone of us should regularly check our kidney so that we can take preventive steps if we find any anomalies in it. We should drink every day 8-10 glasses of water and we should eat a balanced diet and avoid greasy, oily foods. Instead of waiting for the disease to be diagnosed, we should try to address causes of kidney diseases by changing unhealthy lifestyle. At the same time, we urge the government to arrange medical tests for diagnosing problems at cheaper rates to make it affordable to all.
