Tourism and its untapped potential

Our foreign reserve is dependent mostly on the ready-made garment sector (RMG) and remittance sent by migrant workers. It is time we opened other avenues. Ours is a riverine and green country. There are many attractive places which can draw a large number of tourists from home and abroad.

Now-a-days many Bangladeshis are often going abroad to enjoy their leisure time. If they can get better facility and entertainment in Bangladesh then they will spend that money in our country and it will be beneficial for our economy. New jobs will be created and it will bring new vigour to our economy.

The government can consider offering free visas to people of other countries so that they can travel with ease. Bangladesh is surely an undiscovered gem for the travel-loving people of the world. Let us help them to discover it.
