Cold wave sweeps over parts of country

Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions and the region of Srimangal, the Meteorological Department said on Thursday, report Agencies.

According to its forecast, the cold wave may continue and spread over adjacent areas.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country until Friday morning.

Night temperature might fall slightly and day temperature might remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Weather may remain dry with temporary cloudy sky over the country.

The lowest temperature of the country Thursday was recorded 6.5 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga.

Apart from these, a seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

In Kurigram, cold disrupted the normal life of people in the district. Fog fell like drizzle on Thursday morning and evening. Rajarhat Met office recorded the temperature at 8.3 degrees Celsius Thursday morning. The sun was not seen most of the time.
