Burglary at Pak High Commission

Unknown burglars took away computers containing official records and sensitive data from the consular section of Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka. The incident took place on the evening of November 22, 2018. The matter was reported to the Gulshan diplomatic zone police station. Confirming the incident, Inspector (investigation) Aminul Islam said a case was filed in this connection. "We're investigating the matter giving it top priority," he added.— FE Report

Man stabs girl to death in city

A girl was stabbed to death in the city's Gopibagh area in broad daylight on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Sharmin Akhter, 16, a 2019 SSC candidate. Police sources said a man named Shohel, 25, swooped on Sharmin with a sharp knife in the Gopibagh railway area on Tuesday evening. The victim succumbed to her injuries on the spot. Shortly after the incident, an angry mob beat up Shohel who was later taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. — FE Report
