The mangled microbus that was hit by a train at a level-crossing in Sirajganj on Monday — bdnews24.com SIRAJGANJ, July 15 (UNB): Nine members of a bridal party, including the bridegroom and bride, were killed and three others injured as a train smashed a microbus at an unmanned level-crossing at Panchakroshi in Ullapara upazila on Monday evening.
The identities of the deceased are not available yet.
Officer-in-charge of Sirajganj Government Railway Police Station Harun Majumder said the Dhaka-bound train from Rajshahi, 'Padma Express, rammed the microbus around 7.00pm while it was trying to cross the level-crossing.
The accident left seven microbus passengers dead on the spot and five others injured, he said, adding that two of the injured died on the way to hospital.
The condition of three other injured passengers was also stated to be critical.
