FBCCI election on April 27

An election to the Board of Directors of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) for the term of 2019-2021 will be held on April 27.

The Election Board and the Election Appeal Board were formed to this effect on January 26 in a board meeting, says the FBCCI in a statement.

According to the election schedule published on Tuesday, the last date for payment of subscription of the General Body Members is February 26. Nominations for the General Body Members have to be submitted by February 27. The preliminary voter list will be published on March 06, and after necessary corrections, the final list will be published on March 18.

According to the schedule, the last date for sending nominations for the post of directors (both elected and nominated) is March 25.

Chairman of the FBCCI Election Board is Prof Md Ali Ashraf, former Deputy Speaker of Bangladesh National Parliament.

The Election Appeal Board has been formed with Jahangir Alamin, former director of FBCCI, as the chairman.
