Muhith to take part in polls if AL wants

Finance Minister AMA Muhith said on Monday if Awami League (AL) wants, he will contest the next parliament election, reports BSS.

"Personally, I have no intention of taking part in the upcoming elections but if the party wants, I will contest," he said while talking to reporters at the secretariat office.

"If Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina desires I will  participate in the polls," he added.

"In my constituency Khaleda Zia or Ershad may participate in the next general election, I feel Ershad is more eligible because some development works took place in Sylhet during his regime", he said while replying to a question.
