Prisoner dies at Dhaka jail

An under-trial prisoner died at Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj on Sunday. The deceased was identified as Khokon Miah, 45, son of Suva Miah of Bangshal Sayeed Hazi Sarker Lane in old Dhaka, reports UNB.

Khokon had been detained in the jail for the last one year in a case. He suddenly fell sick in the morning, said jail guard Md Hanif.

The prisoner was taken to the DMCH where he was declared dead around 10:45am, the jail guard added.
