Small fire at FE office causes panic

A small fire took place at The Financial Express (FE) office in the city on Wednesday, creating panic among journalists and employees, thus halting overall activities for nearly an hour.

The fire occurred from an electric short-circuit at around 8:15pm and was brought under control by using fire extinguishers immediately.

A firefighting team of the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence and a team of the Bangladesh Power Development Board rushed to the FE office immediately after they were called in.

No major damage was caused by the fire.
