Two female ‘militants’ surrender at Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, Oct 17 (Agencies): Two female suspects have surrendered to law enforcers here bringing the standoff to an end.

According to police officers at the scene, the 'militants' surrendered in response to the request of law enforcers on the second day of the 'Gordian Knot' operation at the another 'militant den' at Gangpar in Madhabdi municipality area on Wednesday.

They are Khadiza Akther Meghla and Mou.

They were taken out of the building in an ambulance of Narsingdi fire service around 2:35 pm and now were being taken to Dhaka.

Earlier, the law enforcers asked them several times over loudspeakers to surrender.
