10-day Baishakhi Mela at Bangla Academy

A 10-day Baishakhi Mela will begin on April 14 on the Bangla Academy premises marking the Bangla New Year, reports UNB.

Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) and Bangla Academy will jointly organise the fair which will be inaugurated by Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu.

The fair will remain open to public from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm until April 23.

Around 200 stalls will be installed in the fair offering different traditional products like handicrafts, hand-woven fabrics, jute-goods and Jamdani saris. Craftsmen will make their products at 10 stalls and also sell those from there.
