10 women FFs honoured with Eid gifts

WE (We are the Earth), a private voluntary organisation, honoured 10 women freedom fighters with Eid gifts in the city's Kobita Cafe auditorium on Sunday, reports UNB.

WE organised the programme to honor the women freedom fighters for their contributions to the Liberation War.

Chaired by WE's head of executives Sharifa Bulbul, the programme was attended by justice SM Mujibur Rahman as the chief guest. Former lawmaker and poet Quazi Rosy, Bangladesh Nari Sangbadik Kendra's president Nasimun Ara Minu, Bangladesh Mohila Awami League's cultural affairs president Rokeya Prachi and poet and teacher Jharna Rahman were present at the programme as the special guests.

Those who were honoured at the programme are freedom fighters Rizia Begum, Lutfa Begum, Razia Begum, Nurjahan Begum, Rong Mala, Sabiha Begum, Swarnalata Faliya, Anowara Begum, Nazma Begum and Rezia Begum.
