Mobile users in and around the city are facing some network issues as about 6,000 cellphone towers went offline on Sunday night after the Power Development Board's commercial power stopped working, reports UNB.

Banglalink's Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer Taimur Rahman told the news agency that 2,300 of their Base Transceiver Station (BTS) towers had gone out of service.

"Half of them are currently being run with the help of generators. Users in Dhaka and adjacent areas are facing some network issues," he said.
