ACC detects anomalies in Ideal School admission process

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday monitored the lottery system in admission to class-1 in the city's Ideal School and College and found irregularities.

A team of ACC conducted a drive after receiving allegations of irregularities in the lottery system for admission to class-1 via its through hotline 106, an ACC release said.

An ACC team led by assistant directors Salina Akhtar Moni and Masudur Rahman conducted the drive with the help of police.

The ACC monitored the admission process from 9:00am to 4:30pm on Monday.

Later, ACC ordered the school authorities for writing the results of the students through ball pen instead of using pencil.

ACC also asked for publishing waiting list of candidates as it found that the school did not hang waiting list of the selected candidates in the boy category.

The anti-graft watchdog in the drive also controlled gathering of representatives of different admission coaching centers at the school.

The school is set to enroll 840 students in Class I in its Motijheel, Banasree and Mugda branches this year.
