ACC summons six DGHS officials for quizzing

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) launched probe into the allegation of purchasing furniture at abnormal price for the Cox's Bazar Medical College and Hospital.
As part of the investigation, the ACC will interrogate six officials of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today (Sunday) at the DGHS office in city's Mohakhali, according to ACC sources.
In this regard, the commission sent a letter to the director general of DGHS to take steps to ensure presence of six persons including him from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
The individuals are -- DGHS director general Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad, DGHS director Dr Abdur Rashid, deputy directors Dr Md Yunus and Dr Kamrul Kibria, head assistant (medical education) Abdul Malek, and upper division clerk Khairul Alam.
