Army chief leaves for Saudi Arabia tomorrow

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, BSP, BGBM, PBGM, BGBMS, psc, G is leaving Dhaka tomorrow (Friday) for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on a seven-day tour, reports BSS.

During his stay in the Gulf country, General Aziz will pay courtesy calls on assistant defence minister, chief of general staff of Saudi armed forces and commander of its land force.

He will also perform holy Umrah during his visit.

This visit of the Chief of Army Staff is expected to further strengthen the mutual relationship between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, especially between the military forces of the two friendly nations.

General Aziz Ahmed is scheduled to return him on February 09.
