CHITTAGONG, Mar 31: The 24th death anniversary of Alhaj Asalat Mia, father of late Alhaj Md Sabder Ali, founder of Hotel Agrabad in Chittagong, will be observed with Qurankhawni, milad and doa mahfil at his village home Joypara of Dhaka district tomorrow (Sunday).
On the occasion, religious programmes have also been taken at Hotel Agrabad, Chittagong and Banani Chairman Bari Masjid in Dhaka on the day.
Mohammed Asalat Mia was born in a respectable Muslim family at Joypara under Dohar upazila of Dhaka.
Before the partition of the Indian subcontinent he started his business in Kolkata and helped many religious organisations and promoted public welfare activities.
He left five sons and two daughters. His other sons are AHM Khurshed Ali, AHM Karam Ali, AHM Nowab Ali and HM Hakim Ali.
