Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, senior general manager (Sales and Marketing) of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, and Prof Nisar Hossain, dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University, sign the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at a function in the city on Sunday. Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited (BPBL) has undertaken an initiative to introduce an award programme entitled 'Berger Award for Students of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka' in recognition of the academic excellence of the meritorious students of the university, according to a press release.
To this effect, a five-year term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between BPBL and the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday.
Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, senior general manager (Sales and Marketing) of BPBL, and Prof Nisar Hossain, dean, Faculty of Fine Art, DU, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Under the MoU, annual scholarships will be awarded to the students who would achieve the highest CGPAs in the Honor's Programme under eight departments of the FFA, DU.
In addition, an exhibition will be organised with the artworks of students who obtained highest CGPA in the Honors' programmes of seven departments of FFA, DU.
AKM Sadeque Nawaj, general manager (Marketing), BPBL, and chairpersons of eight departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts, DU, were also present on the occasion.
