CDA introduces automation for building plan approval

CHATTOGRAM, May 07: Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) introduced an automation system for approval of building plans in the port city.

Newly-appointed chairman of CDA M Jahirul Alam Dovash inaugurated the automation on Monday evening.

Officials of CDA said with the introduction of the automation system, the city dwellers can submit their applications through online.

Besides, the approval system will be completed following four steps.

Among the steps, CDA will give the approval within 15 days for using land.

Construction approval will be given within 25 days while three days will be needed for verification. So, total procedure for the approval will take only 43 days.

Chairman of CDA M Jahirul Alam Dovash said, "The corruption will come down after introducing the automation system, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared the zero tolerance policy against corruption. We will make CDA a corruption free one."

Among others, CDA secretary Tahera Ferdous, board members Md Jashim Uddin Shah, KBM Shahajan, Mohammed Gias Uddin, Ashik Imran, MR Azim, Rumana Nasrin, Chief Engineer Kaji Hasan Bin Shams, Chief Town Planner Engineer Shahinul Islam Khan, Authorised Officers Engineer Md Monjur Hasan and Mohammed Shamim were present at the inaugural ceremony.
