‘Child’s rapist’ arrested in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Aug 21 (UNB): A man, accused of raping a seventh grader, was arrested from Khajura at Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday.

Police shot Badsha in the leg when he attacked them with a sharp weapon, said Mizanur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Sadar thana.

The law enforcers raided the area acting on a tip-off to arrest him.

Badsha reportedly raped a class VII student of Khajura on August 13 when she had gone out of her home.

Her father filed a case at the Sadar thana.
