Enamul and Bakul Chuadanga Journalists Association, Dhaka has started its journey with the formation of a 13-member committee at a meeting held at the Ramna Chinese Restaurant in the city on Friday.
The meeting unanimously elected Md Enamul Haque of The Financial Express and Bakul Ahmed of The Samakal as president and general secretary respectively of the association.
Other office-bearers are-- Nazmul Likhon of The Bangladesh Post (vice president), Harun-or-Rashid of The Prothom Alo (treasurer), SK Liton of My TV (joint secretary), Julhas Kabir Sujon of RTV (organising secretary), Nuh Abdullah of The Ittefaq (office secretary), Firdousi Juthi of Jagonews (publication and publicity secretary), Anzam Khalek of SA TV (sports and cultural secretary) and Rony of DBC News (welfare secretary)
Executive committee members are-- Ahmed Pipul of NTV, Bulbul Ahmed of Bangla TV and Rahman Rono of ETV, says a press release.
