CJFD gets new committee

Shahed Siddique, chief reporter of The Independent, has unanimously been elected president of Chittagong Journalists Forum Dhaka (CJFD), reports UNB.

Morshed Noman, senior reporter of the daily Prothom Alo, has been elected as the general secretary for the next one year.

Other office bearers of CJFD are: Vice-President Shibu Kanti Das (daily Purbakon), Joint Secretary Jasim Uddin Haroon (The Financial Express), Finance Secretary Towhidur Rahman (ETV), Office, Publicity and Publication Secretary Rishad Huda (Independent TV), and Sports and Cultural Secretary Momena Akhter Poppy.

Executive committee members are Anup Kumar Khastagir (BSS), Saiful Islam Dilal (ETV), Mamun Abdullah (Independent TV), Rahim Shah, Mujib Masud (Dainik Jugantor) and Shamim Jahangir (Daily Sun). The committee was formed at the annual general meeting in the city on Friday.
