College girl kills self in Chattogram

CHATTOGRAM, May 9: A college girl committed suicide at her village home at Hathazari upazila of the district on Tuesday night.

Jannat Nur Fahima (18) poured kerosene on her body and torched to kill herself allegedly over a discord between her parents regarding her love affair with a boy.

As she was severely burnt at her house at Kala Meah Bari of Burishchar village the family members took her to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital. She died at mid night in the hospital, said the hospital police. Fahima was a candidate of the HSC Examination this year and daughter of Shahjaham Meah of Burishchar village.
