DNCC demolishes illegal structures in Khilkhet area

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) conducted on Tuesday an eviction drive in the city's Khilkhet area.

Illegal infrastructures including 20 boundary walls, sheds and stairs of 150 buildings were demolished during the drive, a DNCC statement said.

The drive aimed at keeping development work of roads, drainage and footpaths uninterrupted in the area.

DNCC's Executive Magistrate Md Sajid Anwar led the eviction drive between 10.00am and 2.00pm.

Such drives and mobile court for the sake of city dwellers' better living will continue in coming days, the statement added.
