Former Goalanda OC gets 14 years’ jail in graft case

A Dhaka court sentenced on Wednesday former officer- in-charge (OC) of Goalanda thana of Rajbari Saiful Islam to 14 years rigorous imprisonment in two cases filed over amassing illegal wealth and concealing wealth statement, reports BSS.

Judge Sheikh Nazmul Alam of the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4 sentenced the former OC and also handed down two-year imprisonment to his wife Zakia Islam

Anu in the case filed over amassing illegal wealth.

The court came up with the judgment in presence of the two convicts and sent them to jail issuing conviction warrant.
