HC commutes death penalty of two

The High Court (HC) commuted on Tuesday the death sentence of two convicts to life imprisonment over the killing of journalist Farhad Khan and his wife Rahima Khatun in the city in 2011, reports UNB.
An HC bench of Justice Md Ruhul Quddus and Justice ASM Abdul Mobin passed the order after hearing petitions filed by the convicts and the death references.
Those got their death penalty commuted are Nazimuzzaman Yon and his friend Raju Ahmed.
