Land broker shot at in city

A land broker suffered critical wounds after being shot by unknown criminals in city's Jatrabari area on Friday night, reports UNB.

Md Obaidullah, 45, also brother of Police inspector Abdullah AL Mamun of Counter terrorism Unit, was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at midnight, said Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost.

Abdullah said two criminals riding on motorcycle shot his brother Obaidullah in front of Badhua community clinic near Sayedbad bridge around 11:45pm while he was returning to his residence in Purba Shekhdi by a rickshaw.

The reason behind the attack could not be known yet, Bacchu Mia added.
