NARAYANGANJ, Apr 4 (UNB): Miscreants looted valuables from a house after making its nine inmates, including the landlord, unconscious allegedly by tenants at Jelepara of Fatullah on Tuesday night.
The victims are Ali Ahmed (65), owner of four-storey building, his wife Amirunnesa (50), their daughter Zahura Begum (35), daughter-in-law Kamrunnahar (30), grandchildren-Salma Begum (22), Habiba (19), Nure Jannat (5), Ali Hossain (9), and Sumaiya (5).
Manjur Quader, officer-in-charge of Fatullah Police Station, said a family rented the 3rd floor flat of the building two months back.
On Tuesday night, the new tenants invited the landlord and his family members to take dinner with them. However, all of them fell unconscious after having the meal.
Later, miscreants entered the house of the landlord and looted valuables, including gold ornaments.
Getting no response from the landlord's house on Wednesday morning, the other tenants went to the house of Ali Ahmed and found it open and things scattered haphazardly.
