North Korean envoy calls on DU VC

North Korean ambassador in Bangladesh Ri Song Hyon called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at the latter's office in the city on Wednesday, reports UNB.

During the meeting, they stressed the need for strengthening academic and cultural exchange programmes between the Dhaka University and different universities of North Korea to enhance the bi-lateral relationship between the two countries. The ambassador sought cooperation from DU VC so that officials of North Korea can reap the opportunity to get admission to Bangla Language courses at Modern Language Institute of the university.
