One gets life in C'nawabanj drug case

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 07 (BSS): A court sentenced on Tuesday a young man to life term imprisonment in a drug case.

The court also fined him of Tk 0.1 million, in default to suffer one year more in jail, court official said.

Chapainawabganj additional district and sessions judge Md. Shawkat Ali gave the verdict in presence of the convict.

The convicted person is Md. Fatik Ali (31), son of Md. Yahia of Goaldubi village under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila.

According to the prosecution story, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5 arrested Fatik with 2 kg 100 grams of heroin from Alimnagar area under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila on February 18, 2018.
