Police recover driver’s body at Uttara

A microbus driver was found dead at the capital's Uttara (west) on Saturday night with multiple knife injury marks in his body.

Police was yet know the motive behind the murder. The man, 30, received injuries by sharp knife in his body including chest, abdomen and back. The incident took place near the Switch Gate area of Uttara, sector 10.

The victim was identified as Rup Chan Ali, son of Ramjan Ali. Rup Chan Ali was permanent resident of Jayrampur of Muktagachha in Mymensingh district.

He was living in a rented house at Uttara, sector 10, Road 1, police sources said adding that the victim worked as a private driver there.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police was yet to arrest anyone in this connection.

Investigation officer of the case Md Nasir told the FE that police that police were close to nab the suspected killers.

Using technology law enforces have collected significant clue of the murder incident, he added.
