Police recover two bodies in Ctg, Keraniganj

Police recovered two bodies from different areas in Chattogram and Keraniganj on Monday, reports UNB.

In Chattogram, police recovered the body of a jewellery shop employee from Boxirhat in the city early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Utpaul, 30, an employee of 'Danu Miah Sawdagar Jewellery shop'.

Locals spotted the body near 'Hotel Al Boyan' around 1:45 am and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, said Md Mohsin, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station adding that two hands of the deceased were found broken.

Locals said Utpaul was pushed off the rooftop of a building centring a mobile phone theft incident.

In Keraniganj, police recovered the floating body of an unidentified man from the Buriganga River at Hasnabad on Monday morning.

Shah Jaman, officer in-charge of Dakkhin Keraniganj Police Station, said locals spotted the body and informed police. Later, police recovered the body and sent to Mitford hospital for an autopsy.

An unnatural death case was filed.
